Online customers have started sharing a 15-second TikTok video that purports Rainbow Magic writer Daisy Meadows died on the age of forty.
Given the BBC’s famous brand, many humans assume the video caption—which states that BBC News stated the author’s passing—is accurate.
To be clear, Daisy Meadows is a collective pseudonym used by numerous authors to illustrate the e-book Rainbow Magic, not a unmarried writer.
Therefore, the extensively shared TikTok that purports to reveal Daisy lifeless is a scam intended to attract the eye of enthusiasts of Rainbow Magic.
BBC Never Shared Alleged passed-away news of novelist Daisy Meadows!
TikTok person @dovehepburn posted a video on September 22, 2024, asserting that Daisy, the author of the kid’s book Rainbow Magic, had passed away.
The BBC was included in both the video’s text and logo, implying that BBC News had covered the story. That is untrue, though.
The BBC has not covered novelist Daisy Meadows recently, much less her passing.
In addition, it has been revealed that Daisy is a common pen name used by several authors who create and illustrate stories for the book Rainbow Magic.
Furthermore, a memorial to Daisy Meadows has not been published by Rainbow Magic’s publisher, Orchard Books.
It is therefore clear that the video was phony and untrue. Many naive people still accept the narrative and have expressed their condolences and prayers in spite of this.
However, this is not the first time a fake death hoax on the internet was started by a TikTok video! A long back, there was a video that went viral purporting that Jack Hartmann had passed away, but in actuality, Daisy Meadows was still alive and well and was producing brand-new kid’s videos.
